Which life-changing public speakers inspire you and what skills do they possess to empower your leadership? There are many inspiring speakers. How do these speakers change lives through their gift of communication confidence? Skills! To become an influential speaker, you must be intentional about developing skills. Speaking skills are not one size fits all. For example, a person working in HR will use different speaking skills than a medical professional. The best speaker for your own personal growth is you.

Skills that every speaker needs to develop are calmness, composure, and clarity. Getting clear on 1) what you need to share and 2) what you intend to achieve from the conversation is important to productively direct the conversation. Clarity on your purpose for speaking reduces stress, improves focus on delivering your message clearly, and enhances emotional well-being before, during, and after a talk. Finding calm in every speaking moment is a honed skill that is accessible to everyone.
